Xiumei Shi, Professor at the Dalian University of Foreign Languages, is currently Vice President (on secondment) of the Hainan College of Foreign Studies. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from the Central University of Finance and Economics and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Business Administration. Additionally, she was a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Irvine. Prof. Shi supervises graduate students in the Master of Translation and Interpreting (MTI) program and serves as an examiner for both BEC Vantage and BEC Higher assessments. She holds a senior TESOL qualification and is the Executive Director of the National International Business and Language Service Working Committee. Her research interests are in the management of multinational corporations, international business, and business translation. Dr. Shi published two monographs, five translated works and eighteen textbooks, and has led or participated in over twenty national and provincial research projects.
