Hainan Institute of Translation Studies (HITS)
Hainan Institute of Translation Studies (HITS) was registered on July 18th, 2006, as a social organization under the supervision of the Hainan Federation of Social Science Associations. The institute is committed to serving the national strategy, promoting the development of the translation industry, and supporting the growth of translation practitioners. It aims to strengthen talent cultivation and team building, and to promote self-discipline and standardized management of the translation industry.
HITS actively assists relevant government departments in guiding and managing the translation industry; conducts in-depth research and exchanges on translation, and facilitates talent cultivation and team building. It also strengthens communication and cooperation with related organizations both domestically and internationally to improve translation quality, enhance translation services, and promote the healthy and sustainable development of the translation industry. By integrating translation with AI, it promotes the development of the translation industry and new forms of translation services.
Adhering to the Law of the Hainan Free Trade Port and the principles of industry development, HITS strives to promote the continuous and healthy growth of its members and their businesses through various means. It also aims to strengthen unity and cooperation within the translation community, promote the flourishing of the translation cause in Hainan province, and build an accurate and vivid translation system to accelerate the construction of a Chinese-characteristic free trade port with global influence and connect the world.
